Why are we fundraising

Emma - I am frocking up this Frocktober in Memory of someone wonderful who isn't here to show off her fabulous dresses anymore. She got me to love frocking up, so I will be doing this for her, and the many women out there who face daily struggles because of this incredibly under-studied and under-funded illness. This is for you Skivvy Dance Captain 💜🧡 Ebbony - Survivor- March 29th 2006 At 13, I faced something no child should — ovarian cancer. It was terrifying, confusing, and isolating. Something no child should ever have to face. Most people don’t realize that ovarian cancer can affect anyone, at any age. That’s why Frocktober means so much to me. It’s not just about wearing dresses — it’s about raising awareness, funding life-saving research, and starting conversations that could save lives Did you know the current five year survival rate for ovarian cancer patients sits at just 49%. There is no early detection test and treatment options haven't improved significatly in decades. Investing in research is key to accelerating the breakthroughs ovarian cancer patients need. I'm proud to rock a frock and raise funds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation this Frocktober. Together, we will overcome ovarian cancer.
