For years I've watched on each October as fabulous women have raised money for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation as part of the Frocktober campaign.

Two years ago, I took a massive leap of faith and gave it a go! I was overwhelmed by the support and phenomenal generosity of my family, friends and colleagues.

I was also astounded by the way in which my participation also started conversations. Suddenly, I was chatting with strangers and friends alike about ovarian cancer, all kinds of women's business, sharing stories, connecting and learning along the way.

This year I'm doing things a little differently. There won’t be a raffle like last year, but be assured there will be something!

Watch this space!

But until then, you’re welcome to donate to Frocktober.

Frocktober will:
- support finding an early detection test and improved treatments for ovarian cancer patients;
- develop connections and understanding within our community and across our country;
- provide opportunities for women to share stories and teach others in the hope that future generations might one day live without fear and carry on with strength.

My Country - Women’s Business
Ovarian Cancer - Everyone’s Business

This beautiful artwork by Indigenous artist, Lee Anne Hall, is at the core of my fundraising efforts this year.

"My Country - Women's Business" tells the story of women preparing for and participating in women's business - sharing stories, preparing their bodies with paint, singing songs and dancing together - connected to the earth, connected and committed to each other.
